The Gurjar Samaj! Believe in Yourself



It is called that Gurjars are the allied of Huns and the community arisen from tribal.  Gurjars are said as the foreign immigrants of Huna and came in India and mostly they are residing in the northern western zone of Himachal Pradesh. But also the Gurjar community (Gurjar Samaj) populations are found in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Northern Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujrat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. The Gurjars in India also known as Gujjar, Gujar and Goojar.

The Gurjar Samaj is culturally depicted by dancing, religious rites and customs. Gurjars in India are actually the tribes but some of them converted themselves in Hinduism and some Gujjars got converted in Islam. They strictly follow their customs and traditions. In few areas of Himachal Pradesh still there is the custom getting followed for early marriage. Gurjars are the pastoral community and they speak different language in India as per their living state, like, in Punjab, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh they speak Hindi, in Himachal Pradesh and Haryana they speak Gujjari, in Kashmir Kashmiri and Marwari in Rajasthan. The Muslim Gujjars speak Urdu and they write Persian Arabic.

As per our Gurjar Samaj Vikas Samiti records Gurjars in India are spread with large community and the population counted around 5.6 million. They are spread in different states with a distribution of around 2.1 million in Rajasthan, 1.4 million in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, 840,000 in Madhya Pradesh, 640,000 in Haryana, 230,000 in Maharashtra, 210,000 in Delhi, 120,000 in Punjab, 13,000 in Orissa, 7,000 in Chandigarh, 3,300 in Himachal Pradesh and 2,800 in Gujrat and Jammu & Kashmir.


The great Gurjar Legends Sardar Patel, King Raja Bhoj, Vijay Singh, Dhan Singh Gurjar, Swami Karamveer Ji Maharaj are the pride of India. By getting inspired of them we have organized the Gurjar Samaj Vikas Samiti where we have the committee of great social workers. We also organize many Sabha where you can represent your thoughts, voice and can get empowered with the co-operation of community members. We do various social activities in all around India in different cities like, blood donation, poor girls marriage, save mother cow and many more. You all can join us by very simple formalities of membership and by following few terms and conditions. We are here to empower the Gurjar Samaj of entire India.

Know about Popular Gujjars and get the chance to be associated with them


India always remained for an interesting discussion part for historians because of its miscellaneous communities and their cultures. One of them is Gurjar community (known as Gujjars also) who are called the allied of blood to the Huns. According to another theory Gurjars are related to Rajput who are converted to Islam. The community of Gujjars are mainly spread in north India in Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujrat and Maharashtra. The population of Gurjars in India are basically of pastoral agricultural group but there are few famous Gujjars who got famous because of their talent and achievement and proved that they are not less in anything.


We are here to contribute to empower the Gurjar community by associating more and more Gurjars to educate and help for their progress and growth. To take the initiative let’s know about few famous gurjars.

  1. Bhuvenshwar Kumar the most popular Gujjar known for everyone as Indian cricketer who started his career from domestic cricket of Uttar Pradesh and showing his talent through Sunrisers Hyderabad of Indian Premier League.
  2. Manveer Kumar Baisoya the famous Gurjar known as Manveer Gurjar born in Noida and by occupation he is a farmer. He is a great patriot and of pretty dominant nature who believes to do everything for the country benefit. He has a huge fan in social media and he knows very well how to get done the works by hook or by crook.
  3. Gaurav Gurjar has done engineering but more interested to learn various techniques of natural farming. He explored his knowledge with bio mimicry and eco architecture.
  4. Rajesh Bidhuri born in Ghaziabad district served as a pilot in Indian Air Force and ranked as Squadron Leader. After then he adopted the name Pilot and also known as Rajesh Pilot. After the service of Indian Air Force he joined Indian politics. He belonged as a minister of Indian National Congress party and represented the Dausa constituency in Lok Sabha.
  5. Vishwajeet Pradhan again one of the most famous gurjar is an Indian Bollywood actor who has worked in many films including Yalgaar, Raaz, Zakhm, Lamhaa.
  6. Sachin Pilot, the son of Rajesh Pilot is a politician and a member of Indian National Congress.


There are a number of famous gurjars associated with us and member of our Gurjar Samaj. The Gurjar SamajVikas Samiti is one of the cultural and charitable organizations in Delhi with thousands of Gurjar members and supporters. The membership of the Society is open to any person but subject to the approval of the Governing Body of Society.
